The Bad Mother

My daughter is mad at me. Which is not something that is out of the ordinary, but it is a bit more heightened today. I found her online in the wee hours of the morning. Then she wanted to go to a sleep over tonight. Since her attitude has left a lot to be desired, I said, no more computer for the day and no sleep over. I found her on the computer. She has stormed out of the house, hair flailing behind her. I didn't take note of what she was wearing, I think it is a black t-shirt and jeans. No shoes. (edit: after ten minutes she came back inside) I have been painting on and off today, again. I have to occupy myself in between coats of paint. The gross part is, that a previous tenant (poo woman), had hoards of blue bottle flies as house mates. I had wondered about the tiny dots that spattered the ballasts. "Fly poo" my MIL said. I had never seen fly poo before, so, I have been sealing it in using that BIN paint. So. . .back to the grind. Later: I went for a power walk with my walking buddy. I flipped Wookies ears inside out to get some air into them. I think I may have to call the vet. Although I have been squirting her ears with ear cleaner, and a homeopathic garlic oil, calendula, etc. mix, I think she may need something else. Now I have to keep her away from sprinklers, I think she may have had water in her ears from trying to eat the water that shoots up from the sprinkler. It's quite funny, really, the one thing that I looked forward to every watering night. My life is small, and so are the things that keep me occupied. Some man did comment on the walk though, I think he thought that I had surgically removed her ears. (I recall the horrible story in the early part of the summer, of a pet owner actually doing that, to make his dog look meaner). Some people should not be allowed pets. I flipped Wookies ears back into "the correct position" to show him that I did not mutilate poor Wookie and it was just an illusion.
