Perogies For Canadians~~~~Harper Prorogued All Over The Place

I guess absence makes the heart grow fonder, but, there were other ways she could have dealt with the situation. Stephen Harper and Stephane Dion's Address To Canadians #3

Canadian's are suffering from lack of stimulation, this time, it's not just women suffering. It's not as if you can just go out and buy that special toy to help with the "stimulation crisis". Now, I am not a political person, by any means, I would probably be a generalist if I was to label myself or synoptic. A whole bunch of little bits held together by threads of a few epiphanies here and there. My one thought over the past few days was the "thesis, anti-thesis, and then the rollover to a new form of thinking". I am drawing from what I remember from my favourite Philosophy courses with Professor James Silverthorne. My apologies to him, in advance for my Kindergarten grasp, it has been a while. Seriously though, it is possible that this "shake up" is needed, even if nothing comes to fruition, it has Canada perched on the end of their seats, or in my case, clinging to the flicker whilst sleeping. Now, maybe, if the leaders of Opposition and Stephen Harper would just sit down over a cuppa, and think, not posture, we might have a good outcome. I implore them to wear comfortable clothing, leisure suits, slippers, heck, have a sleep over (one queen sized bed), in a remote cabin, get Stockwell Day to chop some kindling prior to arrival. Work out the differences, come to a semi unified stance, sure, there will have to be some give and take on all sides, but with the give and take, new thoughts and actions could be the end result. The leaders shall not be let out until they can settle down, and work together. Again, there's my ideological, head in the clouds generalizations.

Stephen Harper and Stephane Dion's Address To Canadians ~~Coalition Government #2

Politics are all about the presentation and the preparation. Stephen Harper just did not pull through, it was a generic, back of a cardboard cereal box oratory that really did not inform, nor try to console Canadians. No twig, or toothpick extended to the opposition, no "whoops, sorry I blew it, let's have a chat over tea", nothing. It reeked of ego, and vilified Quebec. The scare mongering, at a time when Quebec is in the throws of a provincial election, is not apropos. It is further causing a cultural divide, and personally he should be held accountable for his attitude. Now, as for Stephane Dion, I am wondering that if he was demonstrating odd cost cutting measures, by having his video delivered by carrier pigeon, and filmed by amateur porn directors. Although it had a campy "for the people" feel, it certainly could have been delivered in a more timely and photogenic fashion. The close up photography was horrendous. It probably turned more Canadians off the idea of a coalition government than the idea of the "separatists" taking over. Seriously, presentation is everything, and poor Steph just threw that out the window. A good message, shadowed by self mutilation. Now, that Jack Layton, what a dapper fellow. . .a dynamic speaker, fibrous message, with a sprinkling of hope, the whole package. Now correct me if I am wrong, but I think he spontaneoulsy spoke, sure his speech had been made up earlier, but, I don't know if he was supposed to speak on behalf of the coalition. He had wanted to, but was he used for back up filler, after the tape of Dion was tardy? More later. I think it would be in the best interests of the Liberals AND the Conservatives, if Harper and Dion stepped down (immediately, everyone knows that Dion's days are very numbered), and new faces filled the void. Or, in the case of Dion, a marionette to deliver any future public address. Earlier in the day, he was showing lack of sleep shiners. Hair and makeup was done well, too bad they couldn't remove the evil glint from his eyes.

Canadian Coalition

I have not turned on the news this morning or checked the headlines BUT. . . http://www.cbc.ca/canada/ottawa/story/2008/12/01/coalition-talks.html?ref=rss Jeebuz, it's getting pretty exciting here in Canada. Must admit, with all the politics and the posturing, I still think a good old baby oil wrestle would do the country good. It really doesn't bother me in the slightest if the Quebec Three decide to take over, it's not like it is for an unlimited amount of time, and people jumping to contusions that it is a "Separatist" movement, well, that just doesn't cut the mustard for me. Sure, I would never vote the Conservative party in, even if they had a figure head that looked like Antonio Banderas, I do admit bias. I wouldn't even go so far as to call it a crisis, I would call it a kerfuffle or a "oh shit, maybe I should apologize, but, my Conservative pride and ego and self importance get in the way, so I will just let it be", well this is what you have Monsieur Harper, the seed may have been sewn by the others weeks ago, but you watered them. I noticed a few Facecrack groups being set up, and it sounded like the sky was falling to a bunch of Chicken Little's who probably did not even cast a ballot, in fear of missing a rerun of Corner Gas, with a bunch of recycled Canadian actors. Shit, and those that did actually vote, a few of them, I know for a fact voted for the wrong constituent. All hot and bothered at the polls and they could not remember who to vote for. It's within the bounds of our parliamentary process, this whole Coalition thing, yes it's new territory for us as a country, but maybe a wake up call is good. Not sure if it will be good for public opinion, but heck, it's given us all a little pause for thought, and get our country excited about something and take interest.
