There's a storm brewing. . . I just looked out my back window and the spruce trees are pinwheeling. I hope we don't lose another one. Snow and rain. Snain. Snizzle.

I don't feel so bad that I cheesed out on the power walk tonight. I am going to try to get to sleep early. It seems that there are many people who are dealing with insomnia lately. Everyone at Adam's work is complaining about it. Last night, I tried to snuggle down, and then I heard a voice which said something. "Who are you" I asked, and the voice replied "your husband". The bugger woke me up. He woke me up to ask if it was okay to turn the lights off downstairs. Then I was up half the night again.

So, I am going to go watch some religious television to knock me out. It works. Either that or the French Channel. Or I could start Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas for the upteenth time, or Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. Two books, that just bore me to tears, the timing is not right.

I used to read The Hobbit, to lull me to sleep, and it took me 15 years to finish it. Then I read the rest of the Lord of The Rings in about three weeks. I practically had to lock myself in the washroom and sit in the tub, so the kids wouldn't interupt me.

There are some books, no matter how well written, that just don't hit the spot. There is a time in your life for each book you read. It's just finding the time and the book.
