Gerd Girls

The winds we are having are unbelievable. I felt like I was being pushed into some cosmic vortex on the way to Goderich this morning.

It turns out that Tibbles has GERD and coincidentally, her best friend also has GERD. Supposedly, if your child grows a lot, sometimes their innards do not grow at the same rate, thus shortening the esophagus and GERD can be a problem in up to 40 percent of kids. That what the doctor said. So, if your kid is barfing at night, or in the morning for no apparent reason, think GERD.

I gave the hermit crabs cauliflower and I think they have gas. Last night they were really noisy.

Funny, maybe that is what was wrong with me as a kid, after all I was 6 foot tall at 15 and I too barfed a lot. In those days though no one took it seriously. I could have been bulimic (I wasn't) and no one would have know. It stopped after I had my offspring at age 17...ciao

Hey Kristen,

That is rough, I just know from what Tibble's has gone through, and it is awful. She was put on Ranidine, so hopefully it helps. I am going to do a bit of research into it because I did see an herbal remedy for it as well.

Hey Rositta,
Wow, that is tall, you are an inch taller than I am. Isn't that odd, now that there is a name designation for it, I guess everything starts to make sense. I hope you are still not suffering on with it, and your esophogus grew :)
